Students have designs on City Square

A group
of architectural students at the Robert Gordon University, have
produced a series of designs which they believe shows the true
potential of City Square.
The students felt that the initial drawings suggested that the design of City Square was fixed and that the conceptual illustrations from the technical feasibility study did not really do the project justice.

They have now produced a range of thought-provoking images, showing how City Square could look.
Certainly, these new energies project a greener city centre park. One of the regular accusations about City Square, is that it would be dominated by concrete. As the student’s drawings show up, that need not be the case. The current consultation is all about establishing what the people of Aberdeen would like to see on the site.
The consultation closes on Friday, March 5.
