could almost sense the corporate sigh of relief from
Aberdeen City
and Shire when word came
through this afternoon that the £1 billion Trump
International Golf Links Scotland plan had been approved.
Especially in the current economic climate there can be few people who cannot see the potential benefits that will accrue from having the “best links golf course in the world” located just north of Aberdeen.
Belatedly therefore, this announcement goes someway to redressing the damage done by the previous refusal by a minority committee, which Aberdeenshire Council found itself powerless to overturn.
Let’s hope no-one else tries to cloud the positive message.
Aberdeen City and Shire needs to be open for business and will welcomes new business opportunities.
