Work has started on Trump International Golf Links Scotland. After three years of sometimes painfully slow progress through our convoluted planning system, now the dream has come true for Donald Trump.

While the plan has had its vocal detractors it seems the majority have seen the establishment of “the world’s best links course” just north of Aberdeen as a huge economic opportunity for Aberdeen City and Shire.

The potential spin-off, from this much-needed “magnet” development that will draw visitors to our area, could be bigger than the Trump development itself.
